Everything so far has been about who God is, who Jesus is, and who the Holy Spirit is. Now we ask the most vital question of all: What difference does it make?
If the Holy Spirit is not a "third person" standing between us and Jesus, but is the very life, mind, and presence of the Father and the Son, what happens when a believer receives Him? Is the Spirit something we receive as a gift from the outside in, or is it something we build in ourselves through study and effort? What does it have to do with being made right with God?
In this module, we will uncover the true mechanism of the gospel. We will see that the message which completes the gospel is not a new doctrine, a new organization, or a louder voice. It is the message of righteousness by faith. And we will discover that righteousness by faith is not merely a legal declaration; it is a real, living transfer of Christ's own life into the believer. As the faithful of history declared: We cannot separate the righteousness of Christ from Christ Himself. Any man who receives the righteousness of Christ receives Christ Himself.
We will examine the biblical test for the Spirit, the reality of the indwelling Bridegroom, and the profound difference between knowing about Jesus and having Jesus living in you.
